This Audi A4 2.0 Tdi Avant has been a superb and dependable workhorse for the near 30,000 miles I have covered while I have owned it. It has been just that, a superb workhorse needing only the usual service maintenance and tyres and had a cambelt at 195,000. Don't be put off by the mileage there are far more poorly maintained cars out there with half the miles and not as reliable as this old girl, the car puls strong, does not smoke even when it pulls a trailer, clutch is good, and returns 45mpg pretty much all the time. It really doesn't look its age or mileage with its genuine Audi 18" Multi Spoke alloys and red calipers, the black pack dechrome also sets it off from other models. I will be sad to see her go as it has been so reliable I may live to regret it, but my work brings even more miles for me to cover soon. BMW 116d 3 door, mot jan 26, 18” aero alloys with new tyres, very rare off early 1 series, original 17’s available as tyres failed mot on them, runs and drives great, m style mirror caps, gloss black grills, gloss black spoiler, all previous mot work done, new coilovers and top mounts done nov 24 with service, (coilovers cost £300) mapped but no print out 50/50 from what im told, loads of money spent to get it right for my son, its quick and torquey & can get 55/60 mpg easy, handles amazing on the set up for wheels and tyres, 161000, drives like 60000 Been parked up since mot as on the way back drivers window regulator went, bought one but it’s wrong one, also bonnet cable broke (common issue)lost interest as I have other cars, battery flat but does start off boost pack. SPARES OR REPAIR There is a transmission fault, codes have been read and are: 0793 (secondary rpm sensor Y3/9b4 unavailable) 0722 (RPM Sensor Y3/9b5 unavailable) 0896 (impermissible adjustment of the step-down ratio) No problems until the fault comes up (which can be after 10 minutes or drive for hours just fine). Once the fault comes up it feels like it's seeking rpm under acceleration. Stopping and starting the car clears the fault on screen and it drives normally again. Clean car with lovely interior, auto headlights, large colour screen, cd multi-changer in glovebox. Would repair but we have 3 cars and need to get rid of one and I'm not a mechanic and garage rates for dismantling it is prohibitive (look up ecu repair for Mercedes Benz 722.8 CVT).
