I also had a keen passion of making pocket money which included helping out with the family landscaping business which saw me learn to drive tractors and trailers from a young age. This led to me taking a work experience placement at McNicoll self-drive in Linlithgow at the age of 15, to which I was offered a full apprenticeship when I left school that summer. That summer I was offered a job at a local motor factors in Falkirk (Dingbro Ltd). During my 12 years working at Dingbro I progressed from a delivery driver to the Transport Manager which entailed maintaining the vehicles and managing staff. In 2012 I made a decision to start my own car sales business with a friend. I continued to work full time at Dingbro for a further year whilst in the evening I was building up the business so it was financially ready for me to make the move. In 2013 it was time to leave Dingbro and focus on the new business which over 4 years proved to be a successful venture partnership. In December 2017 I took the decision to come away from the partnership and pursue this venture on my own to which I registered Central Scotland Car Sales Ltd. I have always had a hobby of buying cars and doing them up to sell on. This proved to be a good skill as it helped finance my early years in Motorsport which to this day is still one of my biggest hobbies. For the last 12 years I have always had a car for the track and built some very competitive track cars, which even had a magazine feature. My hobby of track days progressed when I spoke with the team manager at Burnett motorsport about racing in his Legend Racing Team. I progressed to have a successful 5 years there finishing 3rd in the Scottish championship in 2015 and also being part of a team car which won the 2014 team championship. In September 2016 I decided to start my own Legends Car race Team (MCGILL LEGENDS RACING) OR MLR15 as it’s known to sponsors. At the end of our 1st season we finished a fantastic 4th overall in the Scottish SMRC competing with 20 other cars, the majority of the cars are looked after with race teams throughout the paddock.
