This SLK230 R170 mercedes starts every time, runs smoothly and is in a surprisingly low insurance group. It's not too bad on petrol either. It has a black leather interior, heated seats, JVC stereo with Bluetooth, metal rollbars, cruise control, original medical kit, and original toolkit with jack. Bodywork is very good when compared to most SLKs of its age. Loads of paperwork: - 11 month MOT - new front suspension springs - full transmission service - full set of new brake disks and pads - full service 2500 miles ago - new ignition coils - injectors flushed and new seals - new wiper blades - new RAC/Varta battery - new starter motor - recent ceramic coating Engine is rock solid, chassis is good, roof mechanism works perfectly. SPARES OR REPAIR There is a transmission fault, codes have been read and are: 0793 (secondary rpm sensor Y3/9b4 unavailable) 0722 (RPM Sensor Y3/9b5 unavailable) 0896 (impermissible adjustment of the step-down ratio) No problems until the fault comes up (which can be after 10 minutes or drive for hours just fine). Once the fault comes up it feels like it's seeking rpm under acceleration. Stopping and starting the car clears the fault on screen and it drives normally again. Clean car with lovely interior, auto headlights, large colour screen, cd multi-changer in glovebox. Would repair but we have 3 cars and need to get rid of one and I'm not a mechanic and garage rates for dismantling it is prohibitive (look up ecu repair for Mercedes Benz 722.8 CVT).
