Good car, mechanically sound as far as we know. Been used as a run around. Good bodywork. Drives lovely. Does have couple of issues. Bonet catch is broken, entry manual via front hence missing grill! And also has a battery or immobiliser issue which sometime causes car not to start but is quickly resolved by a jiggle of negative battery connector - then immediately starts. This has not been a big issue for us however will need to be happy to open bonet etc to get car to start when having one of these moments. Great little run around, plenty of life left in it. Recent oil change. Mot Feb 2026. Open to sensible offers.

VW Golf Mk4 1.9 GT TDi 3 door in Black Magic (X286 OOG). Date of first registration: 30/11/2000 AJM Engine Code Number of former keepers is 2. I’ve had this car for nearly 20 years and done around 195,000 miles in it. As you can see from the pictures it’s a great looking car that just needs some TLC and money spending on it. I’ve now got another Mk4 Golf with only 66’000 miles on it, so this one has to go I’m afraid. I have the V5 document in my name. I’m selling the vehicle as Spares or Repair as I believe the turbo seals have gone. The engine was intermittently smoking for a few months and then about 2 months ago the turbo seals gave in and now oil is passing straight past the turbo and into the exhaust and then leaks straight out of a hole in the exhaust. It will start and run but its not advisable without repairing/replacing the turbo first due to the oil leaking straight out! The car is 100% original and has never been modified in anyway. It’s done 263,000 miles and had dealer history up to around 160,000 miles. Since then, it’s been serviced by a local garage who also does the MOT. I have nearly every previous MOT certificate and a few old tax discs. There are 2 keys for it. It’s MOT’d till September (Expiry date 19/09/2025) It’s been regularly serviced and had new rear shock absorbers and rear bushes last year. I believe the cambelt has a service schedule of 80,000 miles and this was changed along with the water pump around 60,000 miles ago. As it’s sat for about two months the battery is flat and it needs jumping to get it started. It currently has the spare wheel on as the tyre on one of the alloys is down below the legal limit and will need replacing. The alloy wheels are in pretty good condition considering they are 25 years old. It has locking wheel nuts fitted. The two front tyres are also probably down to the legal limit and will need to be replaced. It will need front discs and pads changing as they are warped and vibrate when braking from speed. There is a clicking/knocking sounds when you turn to the right – I think the CV joint is maybe knackered. Both door mirror glasses are smashed and will need replacing. The drivers seat has worn through on the side lumbar support – as they all do on this mileage. It has the original clutch so the pedal is very heavy. Passenger window doesn’t lower as the regulator is broken and the central locking doesn’t work on this side but you can use the key to open the lock. It originally had the single slot CD player but I removed it as it was broken. I was going to replace it but never got around to it. They are on eBay for around £25.00 The interior is looking fairly tired now due to it’s age and the leather gear knob has worn through. Both front wings are showing signs of corrosion and there are small areas of corrosion in other areas as well – such as the rear wheel arches. I’ve had a look along the sills and they seem to be in good shape. Please see the pictures for reference. There are a few small scrapes and minor dents just from everyday use and as to be expected from a car of this age and mileage. The vehicle is in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands (B73 6HQ). If you send me a message I can send you more pictures if required and answer any questions you may have. You are welcome to view the vehicle but be aware that IT IS NOT DRIVEABLE due to the oil leak. I'm open to sensible offers for the car but I have been very honest with the description and won't let it go for nothing. I know the car is worth at least £240 scrap value so please bear this in mind. Please don't waste my time and your time but calling or viewing the vehicle if you are going to make silly offers. Volkswagen Golf - 1.6 TDI S Euro 5 5dr
2010 Blue VW Golf 1.6 TDI Hatchback Spares/Repairs Has been a brilliant car. Was bought for my grandma who then passed it on to me at 69,000 miles. Was written off at 106,000 miles as got hit by a lorry on the motorway. Damage was mainly panel damage with a slightly bent wheel rim (I believe making the steering wheel shake). Panel damage as shown in the pictures but scrapes got rubbed out. Wheel rim got straightened out and has down 80,000km since with no problem. Needs a new clutch and temperature gauge is showing a problem but I'm no car mechanic! Had a quote of 1000/1500 (including labour) to repair both issues. If I could it fix myself I would keep the car but with half the cost being labour have decided against this. Selling as spares/repairs but I don't think it would take much to get going if you have some mechanical knowledge and can do the work yourself.
