If you are after a cheap reliable car that is mechanically perfect then here it is! For sale is our 2006 Kia Picanto 1.1 petrol 5 door which averages 55 mpg, is cheap to insure and tax :) Local delivery considered if it helps. Fixed price bargain £650. Our Picanto is mechanically perfect! No issues at all. Its MOT’d til late August and has not failed a test since 2018! It has a chain driven engine so no scary cam belt to worry about and has been serviced on time all the time. In the last couple of years it has had new tyres, new clutch, new suspension bits, new exhaust, sill work to future proof it and new battery (together these cost more than we are asking for the car!). It has no knocks, issues, warning lights etc. Last years couple of advisories were immediately taken care off. It will fly thru its next MOT, it’s only done 2000 miles since its last MOT! It will average 55 mpg and 65+ mpg on a run. Road Tax is £13 a month. Insurance is very cheap. Condition wise it certainly is not a brand new show car, it has some patchy paint and age related imperfections as expected but as you can see from the photos nothing that stops it from its daily use etc. It has a Kenwood Stereo System, Electric Windows, Electric Heated Rear Screen, Air Conditioning, Central Locking, 3x Cup Holders, Power Steering, Air Bags etc It comes with 2 keys, tons of paperwork, receipts and MOTS, spare wheel and tyre. My son has brought me a little 107 for local run abouts and to be fair its a tad small! Hence selling. It's a very nice little auto ulez car. It has MOT and runs and drives quite nice and have had most of the work done for a fresh test. Work done includes: - new engine at under 60k miles (about 300 quid parts plus labour) - new brakes and cylinders all round (fitted and bled) - new tyres all round (about 200 quid) - Fresh service and filters (about 60 quid) The suspension is tight, ac works (fairly ice cold) and power steering/electrics are all good. It's the Toyota engine which is quite bulletproof as the replacement engine runs sweet with no misfires etc. The auto gearbox I had my mechanic friend to check and is I'm fully working order as it changes gears fine in both manual and auto. I was intending to take it for local shoppings and has had a few motorway runs but fancied something bigger to be fair. The bad bits from what I can see are that t - the bodywork needs some tlc with evident bit of rust at places but it's quite good for age as you can see from the pictures! - Also noted a slight beeping sound when driving at times and spoke to my mechanic appears that the clutch may need adjusting as appears to slip a bit under very hard acceleration (but fine when driven gently, and no burning smell whatsoever, as having done 100 miles trips like this)? Runs and drives fine regardless especially for local journeys. There is also some extra bits that come with the car as spares which I am happy to sell with the car for the right buyer as shown in the photos. Its 20 quid a year to tax and very cheap to run, it could probably go to a good new home. I don't know much about these cars so just thought to sell and get something bigger.
