The car drives fine in reverse, but with difficulty forward and soon runs into issues. TF-80SC-AF40 gearbox for this Astra. Only selling due to transmission issue that I don’t have the time, premises or tools to fix right now. I have access to a used AF40 gearbox that will fit but I just can’t do the job at the moment. If this changes I’ll take the ad down and do the job, but if I can sell for a decent price to someone who can do the same job for their own benefit, I will. If it weren’t for this issue, I’d have been more than happy to keep this car until the end of its days. Black sporty spoiler fitted and 18” alloy wheels sprayed black, with red Vauxhall stickers for effect. A few black/red sporty touches added to the inside too: Vauxhall head rests and seatbelt covers, custom floor mats, red/black steering wheel cover and two red/black seat covers for the front seats. Great full service history record. 12 stamps/receipts every year since new up to September 2024. New battery September 2024. Timing Belt and water pump done September 2024 at 109’100 miles. The gearbox issue could be a replacement or repair job to resell, or a nice project for someone looking for a powerful aggressive looking coupe that still has many miles left in it with the gearbox sorted. Going by current market research, with issue fixed and prepared for resale, this could easily go for £3000 or more, turning a nice profit. A few body work scuffs here and there but easily cleaned up. The button to open the boot went the other day, but another easy fix. Front pads, discs and tyres will need changed soon which I’d do myself but not while I can’t use the car. MOT’d until March 2026. Aside from the gearbox issue, I’d have loved to keep this motor and will be sad to see it go.

Here for sale is a rough and ready but some what rare Renault Megane 2.0 turbo 162bhp petrol 90k. The car runs really well and the clutch and gearbox feel good too. This car benefits from a cambelt and water pump replacement with proof only 3,000 miles ago so at least you have a piece of mind with that. However that is the only bit of service history I have with the car. If you want a car that will start and get you to where you want to be then this is the car for you! It isn't in good condition inside or out, it does make some rattles both in and out also. The car needs discs and pads all round. When you fill it up there's a smell of fuel vapours so possibly a filler neck on its way out or something but not sure as I haven't checked it out. I've not owned it too long as It was a stop gap car whilst my fiesta had some work done to it but I do have the log book present in my name and at my address.
