BMW e46 318Ci convertible 2.0 petrol 5 speed manual in Topaz Blue. It had been parked up for 4 years by the previous owner when it stopped running and left under a tarpaulin on the driveway. I bought it this year as something to tinker with and get running. I've replaced the parts that it needed to get it running and and to pass an MOT, including fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, tyres, boot struts, rocker cover gasket, CCV, Vanos oil seals, vacuum pump oil seals, door speakers and various bulbs and now it runs and drives and everything works. Has had new oil, oil filter, plugs and airfilter. The roof is in great condition and opens and closes perfectly, everything works. Video linked below to avideo I uploaded of the roof working - https://youtu.be/ltRhu2NL-9g It could do with a new passenger wing as it has rusted through and has had a previous repair by a former owner but could be repairable by someone with the skils, also the front bumper is a bit faded it could do with some general TLC as it's been stood for so long prior to my getting it at the beginning of the year and it being 23 years old. It failed the first MOT in April as it was burning oil, so have done the Valve Stem Oil seals and it's now taxed and MOT'd. Runs very smoothly and was a very nice drive with the top down in the sunshine back from the MOT. Recent turbo as pictured.. does have a bit of a boost leak or gasket leak you can hear and needs a new vac box or the N75 Mod doing as takes some time to get into boost in 1st and 2nd once in 3rd onwards boosts tidy and goes very well. Lowered on stance+ coilovers needs top mounts on front and rubs over big bumps on rear neither have never bothered me. Stage 1 remap. Cat back twin exhaust. Bumper not the best but does the job have got a spare valance here which I will throw in. USDM coded and headlights recently restored. GT front end and GT leather steering wheel Bodywork quite tidy for age few marks etc as expected with age. Unsure of what wheels are on it I believe they might be DARE alloys from a quick image search. 4x Toyo Proxies TR1 Tyres. Recent service. Cambelt & waterpump & aux belt done at 117k 2023. 2008 Jaguar XFR luxury 2.7TD version, 20 inch alloys. 170k miles. Regular service and history. Had new alternator couple years ago. 2 new brake discs last year. 4 new tyres within last 6 months. Selling as spares/repairs recently started making vibrating noise when car is doing around the 40-50mph mark. Two garages have advised it is the differential, quotes £650-£750. Few age related dings and scratches as can be seen in photos. Only one key fob, which is temperamental and will need to be replaced, car does not always lock and you need to insert the key fob into the slot below the steering wheel to start. Otherwise engine runs smooth as ever and pulls perfectly. Clean inside and out. Still quite quick and very comfortable to drive. Already have another vehicle so just doesn’t get enough use to justify doing work and keeping anymore. Bargain if can fix problems!
