BMW e46 318Ci convertible 2.0 petrol 5 speed manual in Topaz Blue. It had been parked up for 4 years by the previous owner when it stopped running and left under a tarpaulin on the driveway. I bought it this year as something to tinker with and get running. I've replaced the parts that it needed to get it running and and to pass an MOT, including fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, tyres, boot struts, rocker cover gasket, CCV, Vanos oil seals, vacuum pump oil seals, door speakers and various bulbs and now it runs and drives and everything works. Has had new oil, oil filter, plugs and airfilter. The roof is in great condition and opens and closes perfectly, everything works. Video linked below to avideo I uploaded of the roof working - https://youtu.be/ltRhu2NL-9g It could do with a new passenger wing as it has rusted through and has had a previous repair by a former owner but could be repairable by someone with the skils, also the front bumper is a bit faded it could do with some general TLC as it's been stood for so long prior to my getting it at the beginning of the year and it being 23 years old. It failed the first MOT in April as it was burning oil, so have done the Valve Stem Oil seals and it's now taxed and MOT'd. Runs very smoothly and was a very nice drive with the top down in the sunshine back from the MOT. My son has brought me a little 107 for local run abouts and to be fair its a tad small! Hence selling. It's a very nice little auto ulez car. It has MOT and runs and drives quite nice and have had most of the work done for a fresh test. Work done includes: - new engine at under 60k miles (about 300 quid parts plus labour) - new brakes and cylinders all round (fitted and bled) - new tyres all round (about 200 quid) - Fresh service and filters (about 60 quid) The suspension is tight, ac works (fairly ice cold) and power steering/electrics are all good. It's the Toyota engine which is quite bulletproof as the replacement engine runs sweet with no misfires etc. The auto gearbox I had my mechanic friend to check and is I'm fully working order as it changes gears fine in both manual and auto. I was intending to take it for local shoppings and has had a few motorway runs but fancied something bigger to be fair. The bad bits from what I can see are that t - the bodywork needs some tlc with evident bit of rust at places but it's quite good for age as you can see from the pictures! - Also noted a slight beeping sound when driving at times and spoke to my mechanic appears that the clutch may need adjusting as appears to slip a bit under very hard acceleration (but fine when driven gently, and no burning smell whatsoever, as having done 100 miles trips like this)? Runs and drives fine regardless especially for local journeys. There is also some extra bits that come with the car as spares which I am happy to sell with the car for the right buyer as shown in the photos. Its 20 quid a year to tax and very cheap to run, it could probably go to a good new home. I don't know much about these cars so just thought to sell and get something bigger. Happy to take reasonable offers and priced down due to the above good and bad bits! any questions please ask by all means though do come through for a viewing! thank you.
