Owned for around 12 years, averaging around 6-7000 per year.Mileage 142,000, generally local miles school runs, nearby towns, but within that time have travelled around the country the odd times, Wales holidays etc. At 135,000 New clutch and Timing belt. 4 weeks ago new clutch cable. The car cut out on me when I'd pulled over, then managed to get a push start to work. Hours later after work I got a jump lead start from a powerful 4x4 it started first time. However when I left it running outside and returned it had stopped running. A second colleague later tried with a 1 litre car and it wouldn't start with jump leads, it tried a little but wouldn't start. Recovery the next day said its probably an electrical or fuel fault but unsure as to what, his diagnostic machine couldn't tell him, only spent a very short time including paperwork before he towed me home. He said it could be the ignition barrel as he felt it was loose but also that it could be a number of things. EGR was previously blocked off by mechanic which could be the root, so a possible reason or linked, but can be reversed apparently. Watch video for info. Weighing up my options of going through a fix, and in need of a vehicle change after 15 years, I'm going to pass it on to someone who can resolve car faults. Recent timing belt 7k ago. Recent clutch at 7k ago. Three roof bars. Tow Bar with electric socket. Becomes a huge van with seats down fully down into footwell. Sliding doors for tight spaces. It's excellent and popular for camping in, I've slept many many times inside with seats down it's like a double bed size. Mot June. Very clean and tidy. The oil has been changed every 10,000 miles, last oil change was just a few hundred miles ago. I do not have a service book but I have receipts for all parts purchased. Pros: -Mechanically exceptional condition, there is no other car this reliable and well maintained in this price range, this is a cheap car you can trust. -Rear parking sensors, electronically folding mirrors. -Excellent interior condition -Always run on Costco premium fuel, very economical, minimum 60 MPG, if you drive at 60 you can achieve 70+ mpg, I have attached an image of a 300 mile trip on which I got over 75 MPG. -4 premium brand tires with years of life left, New space saver tyre in boot with all tools included. -170BHP CBBB engine, the most reliable and economical variant available in this car. Cons: -Rear wiper not working, garage is fully booked for over 1 month so I cannot fix -glovebox can be difficult to close, needs to be pushed from both sides to close -Dent on front bonnet where a pick-up truck reversed into the car. -Paint and bodywork is not perfect but expected given the age and milage. Anyone who knows their cars knows that this is a bargain price considering the work done to the vehicle, this is a rock solid runner. There is no maintenance required except oil changes for the next 50K miles. the car will come with a fresh MOT before purchase. Any inspection welcome, I cannot allow test drives without valid driving license and proof of insurance. Reason for sale is I no longer require this car as I am not doing high mileage.
