About us Our site at Canterbury Road East in Ramsgate, was first established in 1936 when the then owner Charlie Philpott, built a garage specialising in the sales and servicing of motorbikes. The business ran successfully until the outbreak of World War II when the site was requisitioned by the army and returned to commercial use at the end of hostilities. Built in the fashionable Art Deco style of the time, the original building was single storey, with the upper floor and extra workshop space being added as the business prospered. Philpotts Garage continued into the 1960's when the site became a petrol station - the canopy is still in place. Then in the 1980's, the site reverted back to sales and serving, operating as V-Wise - a German car specialist. Then finally as The German Car Centre before Pierremonts bought the site in 2006. Pierremonts was established in 1988 as a family-owned business in Broadstairs offering servicing, mot's, car and van hire and a selection of used cars for sale. In 2006 we moved to larger premises at our current site in Ramsgate allowing us to double the size of our used car forecourt and increase the number of workshop ramps from two to six along with state-of-the art diagnostic equipment, a computerised rolling road and a dedicated mot testing area. Whilst we have expanded over the years, our aims have remained the same as the day we started - to provide a personal and professional service at a sensible price for all your motoring needs, so give us a call or come in and see us - you can be assured of a warm welcome. Warranty Pierremonts are proud of our long association with the RAC. As an approved business, we repair all makes and models brought to us by their recovery vehicles and also supply a 3 month RAC warranty with all of our retail stock. On vehicles up to 10 years old a top-of-the range Platinum warranty is included along with 12 months complimentary roadside assistance cover, and on vehicles from 10 to 15 years old, RAC’s Gold warranty is supplied. This car has been very well maintained. My mother had it for 12 years, serviced every year! Or 6 months! I have a massive folder of every service and every repair done! Cambelt and clutch done also! There is a slight clonking noise when you accelerate , but this only happens when you pull off , I believe it may be drive shaft related , so relatively cheap for the part , around 60 quid! I can for you if local! The car has a fully working electric roof! Mot till december.

2008 BMW 120d 1 series 10 Months MOT taxed and insured Low 118k mileage cd stereo drives very well gearbox and clutch is good. 4 brand new Michelin tyres all round. Has slight oil leak been told by garage it needs oil filter housing gasket. (I keep it topped up with oil) Quite an easy fix. Will take small cheap Px but cash either way. it’s not a new car so please don’t expect one. Time wasters will be ignored. I use it daily and it’s a nice drive.
