Built in the fashionable Art Deco style of the time, the original building was single storey, with the upper floor and extra workshop space being added as the business prospered. Philpotts Garage continued into the 1960's when the site became a petrol station - the canopy is still in place. Then in the 1980's, the site reverted back to sales and serving, operating as V-Wise - a German car specialist. Then finally as The German Car Centre before Pierremonts bought the site in 2006. Pierremonts was established in 1988 as a family-owned business in Broadstairs offering servicing, mot's, car and van hire and a selection of used cars for sale. In 2006 we moved to larger premises at our current site in Ramsgate allowing us to double the size of our used car forecourt and increase the number of workshop ramps from two to six along with state-of-the art diagnostic equipment, a computerised rolling road and a dedicated mot testing area.
