BMW 3 SERIES Convertible 318ci e46 petrol clean air zone compliant
BMW e46 318Ci convertible 2.0 petrol 5 speed manual in Topaz Blue. It had been parked up for 4 years by the previous owner when it stopped running and left under a tarpaulin on the driveway. I bought it this year as something to tinker with and get running. I've replaced the parts that it needed to get it running and and to pass an MOT, including fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, tyres, boot struts, rocker cover gasket, CCV, Vanos oil seals, vacuum pump oil seals, door speakers and various bulbs and now it runs and drives and everything works. Has had new oil, oil filter, plugs and airfilter. The roof is in great condition and opens and closes perfectly, everything works. Video linked below to avideo I uploaded of the roof working - https://youtu.be/ltRhu2NL-9g It could do with a new passenger wing as it has rusted through and has had a previous repair by a former owner but could be repairable by someone with the skils, also the front bumper is a bit faded it could do with some general TLC as it's been stood for so long prior to my getting it at the beginning of the year and it being 23 years old. It failed the first MOT in April as it was burning oil, so have done the Valve Stem Oil seals and it's now taxed and MOT'd. Runs very smoothly and was a very nice drive with the top down in the sunshine back from the MOT. We will be using the car daily in this lovely weather whilst it's for sale. 2.0 Petrol, Topaz Blue, M Sport wheels, Cream leather interior, cruise control, 5 speed manual, aircon, heated seats, electric memory seats, electric convertible roof, reversing parking sensors, Multi CD changer, remote central locking, Clean Airzone / ULEZ compliant Located in Avonmouth, Bristol. We put new lambda Sensors and had it retested but the Garage said it will very likely be the catalytic converter. It also a bit bumpy at idle so I presume this is all linked. It’s got: -Good service History -Common Roof Motor Issue Fixed -Common Outlet Manifold Issue Fixed - Anti Roll Bar Linkages Replaced - Rear Brake Pipes Replaced Lots of other bits sorted too. Fiat Coupe - 2.0 20v 2dr - Timing belt replaced 128,652
Well maintained mechanically with full service history (yes, even up to this mileage) and plenty of garage receipts including the all important timing belt which was replaced at 128,652 miles (September 2020) with the water pump (and oil seals) at the same time. This car drives and performs well, as you would expect a five cylinder Coupe to, still plenty of life left in the engine which starts, runs and 'pulls' well, even in fifth gear - plenty of torque there. The sunroof (working) is the only factory fitted option on this car, it does not have air conditioning. I have been using the car mainly for long distance driving and it has never let me down but I am now of an age where I think it is time for less of an 'enthusiasts car'. Some spares are included as I don't have the time to sell them separately; Sunroof weatherstrip (original Fiat part),uprated bonnet gas struts (aftermarket),handbrake cable x 1, replacement Clarion radio-cassette (the original stopped working properly and I never got around to doing this swap over). Overall I believe it is in good condition for a 28 year old car (and never being garaged) but of course now shows signs of age and wear despite being looked after by myself for the last twelve.
