Only things left to do on the car for it to pass an MOT is, * dust covers on drop links * near side headlight needs balancing * handbrake needs adjusting, 10mm spanner on refurbished handbrake since back brakes were replaced We were told £90 from a friend at a garage to fix. Everything else on the MOT sheet has been fixed/replaced. Mazda 6 MPS 2.3 4x4 Turbo 2007 (MazdaSpeed 6) NON RUNNER SPARES OR REPAIR ONLY- PLEASE FULLY READ DESCRIPTION - Very Rare Now, less than 173 left on the road in the uk according to 'how many left' website. Much loved car, had it for 5 yrs, as far as I know the only one in the world this colour (Canary yellow 25c) Was originaly RED, painted around 2015 before I bought it. Much money spent, bodywork isnt great close up, some dinks, scratches, colour mismatches. Since i'd had it ( 6yrs ) New timing chain, new transfer box from cx7 checked and re=sealed again before installed, Replaced Rear Differential, and £600 worth of SureMotorsport dread and juggnog mounts. Was sat nav version, but so out of date, did 7" tablet conversion (not quite finished but works) all the usual specs with the mps, neat electric sunroof, 18" wheels (tatty need refurb) bose sound system with amp under seat and rear shelf subwoofer. Put on big rear spoiler (from mazda sport) a few yrs ago as i think it looks better than the lip spoiler that comes with it. Lots of receipts etc mot Expired 1st feb 2025, lots of advisories as has been sitting most of the time since before covid. As you can see when i first bought it in 2019 and had the time it had MOT with 0 Advisories.... developed a missfire (multiple cylinders) Last October, ordered some new spark plugs and was going to fit them. Car just cut out about 30=40 mph, metalic sound so I coasted into a bus stop and called someone to tow me home.. engine will not turn over, locked solid, oil is empty, possibly rod through the block, so maybe will need a new bottom engine. Before that, pulled like a train in every gear, very quick, unsure of bhp but not standard. This will need a trailer to take away is not drivable and a NON RUNNER. May need some welding.... Private plate does not come with it 'MP5 4 ROB' (unless your lucky enough to have a name the same as mine and make me an offer for the plate) Original reg was 'KG07 ONO' may come back with, may not, up to DVLA. VOLVO S/V40 SERIES T SE 2003
I've been a Volvo man all my life - parents had a 340, I had a 480, then 440 and then I bought this S40 in 2009. Shortly afterwards though I got a company car so gave this to Dad, who serviced it annually and got whatever was needed done, but to be honest it suffered a little being pottered about in, sat about and often scratched around Devon. It's a ten yard car! He then stopped driving around 2017 and it sat still for a few years. In 2020 Covid hit and my company car went back - I got the Volvo delivered back up to me in West Yorkshire, to put back into service. I have also treated it well and serviced annually, and this year alone it's had new cambelt, water pump, front calipers/discs/pads, I completely refreshed the front suspension with new shocks, top mounts and various linkage things, front tyres, alignment and probably a lot more - and since 2020 it's had lots of work to keep maintenance up such as brake lines, new battery and many other bits 'n' bobs. Also had a new windscreen the other week. The car is a cockroach, It just keeps going and has not once let me down. But it is tired and I've always wanted a 5 series touring. I've been looking at PH, AT, gumtree and ebay for years, and one came up locally at the right price last week and I ended up buying it immediately. I feel like I've cheated on the Volvo :( I know these cars are worth not-a-lot as they’re saloons, and something has gone a bit weird at the front end in the last month to cause a clatter (I think one of the new top mounts may have failed),plus the seatbelt webbing is fraying and will need a new belt, plus I've had to unplug the amp as I think it's popped. But, I would drive this car abroad tomorrow without hesitation. As a comfortable and reliable car it’s a steal. I often drove it to Blackpool for work - it's a proper workhorse. Cream leather, heated seats, lumbar support, ice cold aircon (never regassed, just works). Will miss this car massively. £500 and please take it away and give it a good home someone. Leeds.
