Owned for around 12 years, averaging around 6-7000 per year.Mileage 142,000, generally local miles school runs, nearby towns, but within that time have travelled around the country the odd times, Wales holidays etc. At 135,000 New clutch and Timing belt. 4 weeks ago new clutch cable. The car cut out on me when I'd pulled over, then managed to get a push start to work. Hours later after work I got a jump lead start from a powerful 4x4 it started first time. However when I left it running outside and returned it had stopped running. A second colleague later tried with a 1 litre car and it wouldn't start with jump leads, it tried a little but wouldn't start. Recovery the next day said its probably an electrical or fuel fault but unsure as to what, his diagnostic machine couldn't tell him, only spent a very short time including paperwork before he towed me home. He said it could be the ignition barrel as he felt it was loose but also that it could be a number of things. EGR was previously blocked off by mechanic which could be the root, so a possible reason or linked, but can be reversed apparently. Watch video for info. Weighing up my options of going through a fix, and in need of a vehicle change after 15 years, I'm going to pass it on to someone who can resolve car faults. Recent timing belt 7k ago. Recent clutch at 7k ago. Three roof bars. Tow Bar with electric socket. Becomes a huge van with seats down fully down into footwell. Sliding doors for tight spaces. It's excellent and popular for camping in, I've slept many many times inside with seats down it's like a double bed size. Mot June. Very clean and tidy. The car is is excellent mechanical condition and drives really well. No bangs or knocks. Engine runs well with no leaks, smoke or issues. There re only a coupe of hundred Peugeot 206 GTIs left in the UK and this car is an excellent base to get to a concourse condition car. Purchasing a new electric vehicle means I dont have any more space at my house so the Peugeot needs a new home The entire underneath of the car was checked for rust and the rear was cleaned, painted and under sealed. Only one hole was found on the front chassis mount for the flexi brake line and that was welded, treated and is solid. The bodywork has many light scratches and a few small dents. One dent on the drivers side front wing beside the headlight. Another on the passenger side rear bumper and rear quarter under the rear light cluster. A number of parking dents on the doors. It really needs some minor PDR dent removal a very deep polish.. The largest cosmetic issue was the roof. The lacquer was peeling on the roof so i gave it a tidy up and a coat of paint and clear coat. Certainly not perfect but its presentable. Original factory alloy wheels are in good shape no bucking. Some light kerb rash on the edges. Tyres were fitted in 2022 and have about 4k miles on them and 5mm of tread all round. Clutch was replaced at 80k miles (from the service history) so it still has about 30k miles of life left in it. Work done to the car last year. Replaced rear axle with new Replaced both rear shock absorbers New Timing Belt and water pump fitted Replaced front and Rear brake hoses Replaced handbrake cables Welded near side front chassis leg for corrosion hole around brake line mount. Rear chassis cleaned and undersealed. Replaced both front wishbones Replaced O/S wheel bearing Replaced both driveshafts Replaced both driveshaft seals Replaced O/S engine mount Replaced front ABS sensors Replaced ABS pump Replaced front discs and pads Replaced Off side lower engine mount bush Replaced N/S and O/S anti roll bar drop links. Replaced valve cover gaskets on engine Replaced front and rear seating for leather seats. Replaced both wing mirrors Replaced fuel tank strap Full engine service - Oil, Oil filter, spark plugs, Air filter, Clutch and brake fluid change. MOT is due on 7th October 2025. Only one advisory in 2024 about one rear brake disc. Current issues with the 206 GTI Airbag light is temperamental. Mostly stays off but occasionally comes on. Squeaky clutch pedal after about an hours drive (clutch was checked and it is fine no issues) .heat shield has a slight rattle on exhaust. Drivers door lock occasional doesn't lock on unlock with remote (need lubrication) Car comes with a Sony Bluetooth car radio that does calls and music from phone There is a full service history to 2017. After that it is patchy but I have all the receipts of parts and the work I have done in 2024. Overall this is a great classic Peugeot that has had all the mechanical sorted and just need love and time spent on the cosmetics to make it a good car for car shows or used as a classic daily. Fiat Coupe - 2.0 20v 2dr - Timing belt replaced 128,652
Well maintained mechanically with full service history (yes, even up to this mileage) and plenty of garage receipts including the all important timing belt which was replaced at 128,652 miles (September 2020) with the water pump (and oil seals) at the same time. This car drives and performs well, as you would expect a five cylinder Coupe to, still plenty of life left in the engine which starts, runs and 'pulls' well, even in fifth gear - plenty of torque there. The sunroof (working) is the only factory fitted option on this car, it does not have air conditioning. I have been using the car mainly for long distance driving and it has never let me down but I am now of an age where I think it is time for less of an 'enthusiasts car'. Some spares are included as I don't have the time to sell them separately; Sunroof weatherstrip (original Fiat part),uprated bonnet gas struts (aftermarket),handbrake cable x 1, replacement Clarion radio-cassette (the original stopped working properly and I never got around to doing this swap over). Overall I believe it is in good condition for a 28 year old car (and never being garaged) but of course now shows signs of age and wear despite being looked after by myself for the last twelve.
