2010 Blue VW Golf 1.6 TDI Hatchback Spares/Repairs Has been a brilliant car. Was bought for my grandma who then passed it on to me at 69,000 miles. Was written off at 106,000 miles as got hit by a lorry on the motorway. Damage was mainly panel damage with a slightly bent wheel rim (I believe making the steering wheel shake). Panel damage as shown in the pictures but scrapes got rubbed out. Wheel rim got straightened out and has down 80,000km since with no problem. Needs a new clutch and temperature gauge is showing a problem but I'm no car mechanic! Had a quote of 1000/1500 (including labour) to repair both issues. If I could it fix myself I would keep the car but with half the cost being labour have decided against this. Selling as spares/repairs but I don't think it would take much to get going if you have some mechanical knowledge and can do the work yourself. This Audi A4 2.0 Tdi Avant has been a superb and dependable workhorse for the near 30,000 miles I have covered while I have owned it. It has been just that, a superb workhorse needing only the usual service maintenance and tyres and had a cambelt at 195,000. Don't be put off by the mileage there are far more poorly maintained cars out there with half the miles and not as reliable as this old girl, the car puls strong, does not smoke even when it pulls a trailer, clutch is good, and returns 45mpg pretty much all the time. It really doesn't look its age or mileage with its genuine Audi 18" Multi Spoke alloys and red calipers, the black pack dechrome also sets it off from other models. I will be sad to see her go as it has been so reliable I may live to regret it, but my work brings even more miles for me to cover soon.
