Selling my 2003 BMW Z4 2.5L convertible - a classic roadster with a smooth drive, perfect for enjoying the open road this summer. The 2.5L straight-six engine still pulls strongly and sounds great. I bought the car early 2024 and meant to use it for the summer but ended up using it everyday to and from work as well as for appointments, it never skipped a beat and travelled a fair distance over motorway, b roads and country lanes. Recent maintenance: New tyres all round and front suspension replaced in August 2024. Honest points to note: The engine warning light is on - believed to be due to a minor air hose leak, but hasn't been investigated further as it hasn't affected drivability. Paintwork shows signs of age, with some areas where the lacquer has peeled - common for cars of this age, but purely cosmetic. Overall, this Z4 drives well, sounds great, and is ideal for someone looking for an affordable, enjoyable convertible with a bit of character. BMW e46 318Ci convertible 2.0 petrol 5 speed manual in Topaz Blue. It had been parked up for 4 years by the previous owner when it stopped running and left under a tarpaulin on the driveway. I bought it this year as something to tinker with and get running. I've replaced the parts that it needed to get it running and and to pass an MOT, including fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, tyres, boot struts, rocker cover gasket, CCV, Vanos oil seals, vacuum pump oil seals, door speakers and various bulbs and now it runs and drives and everything works. Has had new oil, oil filter, plugs and airfilter. The roof is in great condition and opens and closes perfectly, everything works. Video linked below to avideo I uploaded of the roof working - https://youtu.be/ltRhu2NL-9g It could do with a new passenger wing as it has rusted through and has had a previous repair by a former owner but could be repairable by someone with the skils, also the front bumper is a bit faded it could do with some general TLC as it's been stood for so long prior to my getting it at the beginning of the year and it being 23 years old. It failed the first MOT in April as it was burning oil, so have done the Valve Stem Oil seals and it's now taxed and MOT'd. Runs very smoothly and was a very nice drive with the top down in the sunshine back from the MOT. We will be using the car daily in this lovely weather whilst it's for sale. 2.0 Petrol, Topaz Blue, M Sport wheels, Cream leather interior, cruise control, 5 speed manual, aircon, heated seats, electric memory seats, electric convertible roof, reversing parking sensors, Multi CD changer, remote central locking, Clean Airzone / ULEZ compliant Located in Avonmouth, Bristol. Unfortunately it failed the MOT and I’ve moved away so don’t really have the intent to fix it. We put new lambda Sensors and had it retested but the Garage said it will very likely be the catalytic converter. It also a bit bumpy at idle so I presume this is all linked.
