Selling for spares/repairs due to possible fuel pump failure. I've owned this car for nearly 5 years. It cut out whilst driving a couple of months back with no warning and wouldn't restart. The AA read the fault code (low pressure at fuel rail) and suspected tank pump as he couldn't hear it running. I had that replaced by a local mechanic, but the car was low on power and cut out on a hill so went back to the mechanic. He started to look at the injectors, then said that it may be the HPFP, and didn't really want the work, so brought it back here. It can't be driven as some stuff is disconnected, so having to sell as it is. In the last couple of years, it's had new back brakes, new rad, full service, track rod end, drop link and front tyres. Will be broken for spares if it doesn't sell at £1300.

Car spec includes: 6 speed Heated front screen Heated front seats Heated folding mirrors Cruise control Bose sound system including sub woofer Built in satnav Good points, car has always been reliable and is in generally good condition for the age but not perfect. Drives well and is MOT'd until October. Oil and filters have been changed every year. 4 good tyres. Bad points, scraping noise on the front end. Aircon does not work. Previous MOT had a lot of advisories regarding underbody corrosion but I would advise anybody to take a look and judge how bad it actually is. Priced at £400. Mechanically spot on. Suspension is nice and smooth, no knocks. Gearbox and clutch all good. Tow Bar. There is a few bits that are reflected in the lower asking price. The Engine light is on but there is nothing wrong with the engine.... One of the minor air compression pipes started sucking in the air from outside and that's when the engine light came on.... I taped the pipe and the engine runs mint since, but the light still stays on. It never bothered me. Aircon is empty. Some bubbling on both wheel arches. Some noise coming from heater/fan unit when keys put in the ignition the first 5 seconds. Front VW badge missing. Genuine sale as I'm buying another car. No time wasters, No offers!!!

Nice tidy condition. Current MOT. Recent suspension fault which I have not solved. Replaced both front suspension air units and front suspension junction control box. Now have fault C1 A20-064. The compressor does run at initial start up, but looks like pressure is not built up in a required time, so vehicle faults. Internet search advises a list of probable causes. I have decided to cut my losses, as I have limited use of workshop to spend the time to fully diagnose. The vehicle does drive and was a good comfortable drive prior to fault occurring. I did try it from my home address to a lock up, but would probably not recommend driving any further than a few miles. It is a cut my losses with this vehicle, I do like it, but I have neither the time, money or facilities to fault find it properly. Would like to see around £1,500 for a take away as is, but aware that time and money needs to be spent on it. Really am open to sensible offers. Located Portland Dorset.
