2010 Blue VW Golf 1.6 TDI Hatchback Spares/Repairs Has been a brilliant car. Was bought for my grandma who then passed it on to me at 69,000 miles. Was written off at 106,000 miles as got hit by a lorry on the motorway. Damage was mainly panel damage with a slightly bent wheel rim (I believe making the steering wheel shake). Panel damage as shown in the pictures but scrapes got rubbed out. Wheel rim got straightened out and has down 80,000km since with no problem. Needs a new clutch and temperature gauge is showing a problem but I'm no car mechanic! Had a quote of 1000/1500 (including labour) to repair both issues. If I could it fix myself I would keep the car but with half the cost being labour have decided against this. Selling as spares/repairs but I don't think it would take much to get going if you have some mechanical knowledge and can do the work yourself. It has been a great vehicle and cheap to run on LPG. Still runs fine on LPG and Petrol. It has a 66 litre lpg tank where the spare wheel well is located, we have also recently installed a secondary tank in the boot but not yet connected it to the 1st tank. I have converted it from air suspension on the rear using a professional coil spring conversion. Front and rear bushes have been changed. ..............Just before christmas 24 it became a little difficult to start sometimes. I plugged it in and the computer said crankshaft sensor which I replaced. It did not fix the problem. I have since spoken to a BMW mechanic who said it could be a timing chain which has stretched. Car still runs and drives but will need some repair. It has had a small oil leak ever since I owned it but was never bad enough to worry about. I could possibly assist with delivery.
