Excellent Vauxhall Vectra
Vauxhall Vectra Exclusiv 1.8 petrol Mechanically excellent Vectra, the later and better X18XER engine is great, serviced regularly in my time with it (2 1/2 years) and has just been done again this week - new oil and filter, air filter, pollen filter, spark plugs and fuel filter to prepare it for sale. Very quiet, running perfectly. Brand new radiator, coolant and antifreeze this week. Engine compartment is spotless - obviously been looked after! Gearbox all good, clutch is fine, steering and suspension very good - no knocks or clunks at all. Mot till November. 148,000 miles, just 8,700 per year, WAY below average! Service history to 95,000 miles, I've owned it from around 140,000 miles and have serviced it myself three times now - once when bought (Feb/March ish 2023),last year and again this week to prepare it for sale. Mot has a few advisories: Minor exhaust leak - still there, just the flexi, easy to replace but still in relatively good condition so false economy to replace just yet but if required I can get it done for you - we can negotiate a price. Both rear indicators have had new bulbs - the old ones were faded. Brake discs worn - they are, BUT a few years left in them yet. Like the flexi I can get them done if you prefer. Oil leak - new rocker/valve cover gasket and engine subsequently steam cleaned Coolant leak - brand new radiator fitted plus the hose between the thermostat and the throttle body replaced. Shallow tyre cuts - still on the car as it has four matching tyres (Black Lion). I DO like four matching tyres on a car but I have two good, high quality tyres that I'll have put on for you if you wish to replace the slightly damaged ones. Rear subframe and brake pipe slightly surface rusted - both have been machine wire-brushed and treated with Bilt-Hamber degreaser and rust-proofer (read up on Bilt-Hamber- the BEST!) before being primed and top coated with metal-protect paint (comprehensive photos available for you). Bodywork solid but odd scuffs and marks, previous spray can tidying up. Not immaculate but not a disgrace either given the age! Interior neat and tidy, Charcoal cloth seats, no rips or bad marks. Boot carpet slightly stained but not bad. Vauxhall alloy wheels. New rear light lens. Economic motoring, running perfectly, never misses a beat, been a good servant to me and now ready for you too! Car is in Silsoe, Bedfordshire, get in touch...
