Welcome to the listing of my little Mercedes, I brought this car a couple of months ago with a few issues and not much history, but with the intention to bring it back to glory and use it as a summer car. Sadly time are hard and I need the money and space. I’ve been using it as my run around the past couple weeks as my main cars broken, so it is all drivable and ready to go. The engine sounds and run perfectly, and is a quick little car when needed. It has a all electric hardtop roof, which all work as it should, and it doesn’t leak from what I’m aware. Since I’ve owed it, it’s had a full service, 2x tyres. Issue and problems I know and found since driving. 1. BaS/ESP and eml light on, been told it’s the abs pump. Hasn’t been a issue with the drive of vehicle. 2. The drivers side front wing is bent, and the drivers side head light is slightly loose. 3.drivers inner door handle/lock is temperamental, some times let you out, sometime doesn’t. 4. I think a ball joint and track rod end needs doing as steering wheel not straight, and knocks. 5. The front bumper and fog lights broken, due to pheasants, 6. Broken mirror glass. 7.front brakes are low. Good bits. It has mot till September/October time. 1 key, v5c present. Cheap classic sports car. All electrics and entertainment works. Hard top convertible all works. Low miles 87,000 miles Interior is in okay condition too. This car is not perfect, it has its ages related/car park bings and marks and a few little dent here and there. It overall it’s not a bad little car for someone with time to bring it back to life, it does need a good valet and wash. I might do that before it sells. I have just used it for 4 day driving down and around London and it never missed a beat, it’s a shame I have to sell it. It sold as seen. Runs with misfire and oil leak. Unsure where misfire is coming from, coil packs, spark plugs and HT leads checked - all fine. Oil leak is suspected piston rings or valve stem seals. Rear sills will need attention due to rust. Compression was tested and was 160, 120, 120, 140. Clutch slave master cylinder has also gone so slips easily but does not slip out of gear. A much loved car, I just don’t have the time for it anymore. It will need to be trailered away. Selling my 2003 BMW Z4 2.5L convertible - a classic roadster with a smooth drive, perfect for enjoying the open road this summer. The 2.5L straight-six engine still pulls strongly and sounds great. I bought the car early 2024 and meant to use it for the summer but ended up using it everyday to and from work as well as for appointments, it never skipped a beat and travelled a fair distance over motorway, b roads and country lanes. Recent maintenance: New tyres all round and front suspension replaced in August 2024. Honest points to note: The engine warning light is on - believed to be due to a minor air hose leak, but hasn't been investigated further as it hasn't affected drivability. Paintwork shows signs of age, with some areas where the lacquer has peeled - common for cars of this age, but purely cosmetic. Overall, this Z4 drives well, sounds great, and is ideal for someone looking for an affordable, enjoyable convertible with a bit of character.
