Philpotts Garage continued into the 1960's when the site became a petrol station - the canopy is still in place. Then in the 1980's, the site reverted back to sales and serving, operating as V-Wise - a German car specialist. Then finally as The German Car Centre before Pierremonts bought the site in 2006. Pierremonts was established in 1988 as a family-owned business in Broadstairs offering servicing, mot's, car and van hire and a selection of used cars for sale.
