For sale is my 2006 Convertible Audi A4 S-line. I've had this car 11 months and was bought as a stop-gap car until I got another vehicle. I've recently got a car through my own business and therefore, this is the only reason for me selling as I no longer need this car. The GOOD The car itself was owned by an elderly couple for around 6 years and in that time covered under 10k, which you can see from the MOT history searching online. Last MOT passed with no advisories and if you go online and search MOT history, you'll see a good record with minimal issues when it comes to MOTs - More wear and tear parts than anything. In the last 11 months of ownership I don't think I've covered 1k using it as a daily runabout. This has resulted in a well below average mileage for a car of this age. The car hasn't put a foot wrong for me using it as a daily and has been reliable throughout. If I had the room, I'd probably keep it as it's a great car especially when the warmer weather is with us! The BAD 3 things to note: 1 - It's a CAT N car which may bother some people? Didn't bother me as I know a CAT N is non-structural. Honestly, didn't make a jot of difference in the insurance premium and I had an RAC report done on it prior to getting the car. The plus side of a Cat N is that you get a car worth more for cheaper than market value guess. That's the way I looked at it. 2 - Little history with the car. Again, wasn't expecting extensive history for an 18 year old car, but what I do have with the car is a few receipt of work including a receipt for a new turbo at approx 60k which was nice to see. 3 - There's a sensor fault with the roof. Basically, one of the roof sensors will intermittently think the roof isn't locked down when it is. I had it hooked up to a diagnostic tool and it confirmed a sensor. The issue is intermittent and the roof functions fine in terms of dropping and raising and locking. MOT failed on headlight beam adjustment so either switch or motor fault on light. (See pic). Significantly reduced to reflect current state but won't budge for offers. Making a significant loss to clear. Someone will get a bargain for little work. Located in Warrington, north west. 2007 Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE. Spares or repair. Car has covered 161,450 miles. 2 keys, partial service history. V5C. Maintained/serviced by myself for the last few years (career engineer). Car has all the usual HSE extras. This car failed its MOT last year on corroded sills. The rest of the car is in good condition. The bodywork, apart from the sills, is in decent condition bar a few age related marks. The engine and gearbox are perfect. The car runs perfectly, no smoke from the exhaust. Doesn't burn oil. All the electrics work... mirrors/windows/heated seats/sunroof/etc. No lights on the dashboard. You have two options with this vehicle. You could get a couple of sill panels to repair the sills and then you'd have a fully functional car. Or, you could part it out for spares as all parts are in functional condition. Either way, there is a lot of value still left in this car. I'm going to get another car so I can't be bothered to do either. NOTE: this car has no MOT, road tax (SORN'ed) or insurance so it absolutely will NOT be road tested. It will, however, be able to drive onto a trailer/low loader as it is fully functional otherwise.
