BMW e46 318Ci convertible 2.0 petrol 5 speed manual in Topaz Blue. It had been parked up for 4 years by the previous owner when it stopped running and left under a tarpaulin on the driveway. I bought it this year as something to tinker with and get running. I've replaced the parts that it needed to get it running and and to pass an MOT, including fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, tyres, boot struts, rocker cover gasket, CCV, Vanos oil seals, vacuum pump oil seals, door speakers and various bulbs and now it runs and drives and everything works. Has had new oil, oil filter, plugs and airfilter. The roof is in great condition and opens and closes perfectly, everything works. Video linked below to avideo I uploaded of the roof working - https://youtu.be/ltRhu2NL-9g It could do with a new passenger wing as it has rusted through and has had a previous repair by a former owner but could be repairable by someone with the skils, also the front bumper is a bit faded it could do with some general TLC as it's been stood for so long prior to my getting it at the beginning of the year and it being 23 years old. It failed the first MOT in April as it was burning oil, so have done the Valve Stem Oil seals and it's now taxed and MOT'd. Runs very smoothly and was a very nice drive with the top down in the sunshine back from the MOT. September 2011 on a '61' Plate HONDA CR-V 2.2I-DTEC EXECUTIVE AWD 4X4 6 Speed 5 Door SUV with the Active CRUISE Control & Xenon Headlights. Same Owner since we sold it back in May 2022 !! 165k with 2 Remote keys. This still starts, runs and drives. However the EML came on and is related to the Turbo, which we would suggest needs a re build (We normally use Midland Turbo at Nottingham) and there is a leak from the steering rack. It will probably want track rod ends and no doubt a drop link or 2 and the Air Conditioning does not blow cold (We have not investigated why). The car has been used daily until the MOT Expiring. The Customer has decided they do not wish to spend on the repairs (as they can not do it themselves) and has purchased a Mk4 CR-V from us. The interior needs a clean, the exterior is still very straight and shiny with just the small scuff to one bumper. All the leather is intact as are the door cards and armrests which are common for wearing through (We had them replaced in 2022) So it's up for Sale as a Spares or Repairs vehicle only to someone that has the skills and know how to replace / fix the steering rack and whip the turbo off, send it to midland turbo for a rebuild and put it back on etc. Or have a mate that will do it very cheaply for you. If you have to pay normal garage rates you may as well buy a retail one (Although obviously you may have to replace the rack/steering pipes and turbo at some point on any CRV) so buying this one and knowing you've fixed it already may be worthwhile ...but I digress. I really wish I didn't have to sell this car, I love it a lot, but unfortunately, the time has come. I just don't have the time or knowledge to maintain the vehicle the way it deserves, so I am looking for someone to give it the TLC it needs. Rover 75 Classic SE CDT Black 2L Diesel 2002 ~74,000 SORN & MOT Expired No optional extras or modifications fitted Last service over a year ago Condition: Tired, but not in bad condition. A few minor scrapes and marks but could probably be detailed out. Minor electric issue, possibly a loose wire, causing the indicator light to speed up on occasion. Battery flat. The engine is in beautiful condition, purrs and runs wonderfully, and the gearbox is still as smooth as silk. Interior is good but has a bit of wear from age. The car currently has one MAJOR ISSUE - the rear brakes are not functioning, i.e., there is no working handbrake. I have the parts required to fix the issue but haven't been able to find the time to do it. Once the rear brakes have been fixed, this car will run and operate wonderfully.
