Vauxhall Meriva - 1.4i 16v Life 5dr - 11 Months MOT, Great First Car
Our trusty Vauxhall Meriva, this has been my wife's car for the past 4 years and 15k miles. Overall, a fantastic car that has had no expense spared whilst in our ownership. I have spent in excess of three grand on servicing and MOT's. Has had a full exhaust, all 4 springs, rear calipers, brake pads all round, tyres all round, more recently suspension struts, top mounts, anti roll bars and a CV Boot. JUst over 300 miles ago it had a full service including spark plugs, so its good for another 12 months. Recently also had uprated front headlight bulbs. Interior of the car is immaculate, has been looked after and has seat covers so the seats underneath look brand new. Car also comes with a USB stereo which we never had fitted as the company sent us the wrong wiring harness (easy fix). The bodywork is not the best, has been well looked after but some kind person in a white van got too close to the drivers door and has put a kink in the door (see pics). With a good polish and wax, its not really noticeable, apart from that, its a straight car. The roof has some laquer peel, which I will attempt to polish and put a coat of wax on to help protect from the elements. Only other issue is the rear door window on the passenger side had a failed regulator, so we had our mechanic fix the window in place. Its fixable with a new manual regulator but never bothered us. Comes with 2 keys (one remote, one broken remote) and as much paperwork as I can find. Tyre's all in great condition (2 almost brand new) All recent MOT's and services are here. A fantastic spacious family car with a great boot and low mileage, starts at the turn of the key and drives straight and true. Would be a great first car for someone or for a family who want a reliable, well maintained car for the school run. Any questions, please let me know.

MOT expired. Many repairs needed before presenting for MOT. Known issues are: Faulty oxygen sensor causing engine fault light to be on. Crankcase breather pipe split. Wishbone bushes worn and pulling out of bush sleeves. Track rod ends and gaitors need replacing. Corroded central exhaust mount. Passenger side window switch missing. Front and rear valances show signs of crazing but are structurally ok. Needs 4 new tyres. We have had previous welding repairs made to both sills to pass previous MOTs. Car was running fine before expiry of MOT 14 June 2025. Car is very presentable inside and out. This is a 19 year old car that requires work to get back on the road. AK06TKV has a displayed mileage of 144,000 miles but actual milage is 70 to 80 K. Previous owner had to have the immobilisor replaced with a used item that came with different displayed mileage on the dash. The interior is in very good condition throughout. Worth buying to obtain interior alone! Hood intact but has had repairs internally around the rear glass panel. Hood is watertight. If you are after a cheap reliable car that is mechanically perfect then here it is! For sale is our 2006 Kia Picanto 1.1 petrol 5 door which averages 55 mpg, is cheap to insure and tax :) Local delivery considered if it helps. Fixed price bargain £650. Our Picanto is mechanically perfect! No issues at all. Its MOT’d til late August and has not failed a test since 2018! It has a chain driven engine so no scary cam belt to worry about and has been serviced on time all the time. In the last couple of years it has had new tyres, new clutch, new suspension bits, new exhaust, sill work to future proof it and new battery (together these cost more than we are asking for the car!). It has no knocks, issues, warning lights etc. Last years couple of advisories were immediately taken care off. It will fly thru its next MOT, it’s only done 2000 miles since its last MOT! It will average 55 mpg and 65+ mpg on a run. Road Tax is £13 a month. Insurance is very cheap. I really wish I didn't have to sell this car, I love it a lot, but unfortunately, the time has come. I just don't have the time or knowledge to maintain the vehicle the way it deserves, so I am looking for someone to give it the TLC it needs. Rover 75 Classic SE CDT Black 2L Diesel 2002 ~74,000 SORN & MOT Expired No optional extras or modifications fitted Last service over a year ago Condition: Tired, but not in bad condition. A few minor scrapes and marks but could probably be detailed out. Minor electric issue, possibly a loose wire, causing the indicator light to speed up on occasion. Battery flat. The engine is in beautiful condition, purrs and runs wonderfully, and the gearbox is still as smooth as silk. Interior is good but has a bit of wear from age. The car currently has one MAJOR ISSUE - the rear brakes are not functioning, i.e., there is no working handbrake. I have the parts required to fix the issue but haven't been able to find the time to do it. Once the rear brakes have been fixed, this car will run and operate wonderfully. Thanks to the low mileage, it'll keep going for years and years to come! I also have some additional spare parts and Haynes manual that will be included. Quite good condition for age, as can be seen in the photos (some signs of age, as you would expect). Owned since 2 years old but don't have the time to do the chain myself, so selling to a good home. They might come in handy someday. Especially as they push the power output up to 518 bhp, and the top speed to 196 mph — which in our books is pretty much 200 mph. And 200 mph is the kind of speed you can normally only achieve by going to France and getting on a train. So if you want to be the fastest person in town, then you should consider this gated manual V10 Audi R8. Its Lamborghini Gallardo DNA runs deep, but the R8 takes the four-ringed badge and returns it to the world of high performance motoring. When it was first released, a few people were slightly taken aback by the presence of the Audi badge on an exotic-looking supercar, but we get it entirely. That winning combination of Italian flair and German engineering just makes sense. This particular R8 comes in a pale shade of grey, and features some snazzy exterior trim pieces, in case it needed to prove it isn’t a boring Audi commuter car. But imagine if this was your commuter car: what a commute that would be. To add to this R8’s kerb appeal, it’s a Spyder. This means it has a convertible soft top roof and cost even more when it was new (about £109,580 if we remember correctly). And that was 15 years ago, during which there have apparently been one or two financial ‘blips’ which mean that it would cost even more today. If they still made them, which they don’t. We haven’t even got round to discussing the R8’s phenomenally good handling, and all-round performance. With the rarely-specified manual gearbox, it’s a treat for the driver. Needless to say it ticks all the boxes, as long as you don’t need to carry more than a weekend’s worth of luggage. A small price to pay for such a thrilling motorcar.
