2010 Blue VW Golf 1.6 TDI Hatchback Spares/Repairs Has been a brilliant car. Was bought for my grandma who then passed it on to me at 69,000 miles. Was written off at 106,000 miles as got hit by a lorry on the motorway. Damage was mainly panel damage with a slightly bent wheel rim (I believe making the steering wheel shake). Panel damage as shown in the pictures but scrapes got rubbed out. Wheel rim got straightened out and has down 80,000km since with no problem. Needs a new clutch and temperature gauge is showing a problem but I'm no car mechanic! Had a quote of 1000/1500 (including labour) to repair both issues. If I could it fix myself I would keep the car but with half the cost being labour have decided against this. Selling as spares/repairs but I don't think it would take much to get going if you have some mechanical knowledge and can do the work yourself. Original bought this a couple of months ago with the intention of breaking it and using some of the parts for an identical diesel I have, once I had a good look around its too good for that . It has low mileage recent subframe, lower arms and front shocks I have replaced the front discs and pads a very noisy and leaking water pump rocker cover gasket and leaking oil switch along with 3 tyres. It now has an mot until 30/06/2026 quite a nice spec E/W, E/M, cruise control, CD radio Aux socket on board computer. Will not respond to silly offers genuine questions answered asap, half a tank of petrol at moment.
