2008 Mazda MX5 1.8i Roadster Convertible *CHEAPEST MK3 IN THE UK*
For sale is my lovely 2008 Mazda MX5 Mk3 1.8 ? I bought this as a summer fun car, but a change in circumstances sadly means it has to go. It has 145,000 miles on the clock, but several people have agreed that it drives like a car with half that mileage. The roof is clean and tidy with no rips, the bodywork is straight and apart from scuffed paint on the passenger?s mirror, is tidy for its age and mileage. The wheels are slightly kerbed and could do with a respray, but are straight and wear good tyres. It includes two keys and receipts for recent work. In my ownership, the car has had: ?MOT (until June 2026) ?Oil & filter change with correct 5W30 ?4 iridium spark plugs ?Welding to both sills ?Headlights restored ?Rear shock absorbers ?Front brake discs and pads ?Rear tyre ?New gearknob ?New floormats As said, it looks smart and drives well, but isn?t perfect ? below are some bits worth noting: ?Damage to driver?s seat bolster (it?s a cliché, but you don?t notice when you?re driving) ?Passenger?s door central locking iffy ? sometimes locks and unlocks remotely, sometimes not. Can still be unlocked/locked manually ?I?ve been advised it may need a new PCV valve at some stage ? I?ve included a new genuine Mazda item for the new owner ? In summary this is an honest, presentable MX5 that?s had lots of new parts and money spent in the last few months. It drives superbly and is ready for a summer of fun! I?ve tried to describe the car as honestly as possible ? viewings are welcome, but generic "is this still available?" messages will be ignored. No warranty or returns given or implied. I?m not interested in part exchanges, thanks, and I will only hold the car for you upon payment of a deposit. A great car to drive, but has some minor damage and a new boot curtain is required for the roof to work. The engine pulls like a train, the gear box is slick, and the chassis handles well, but a neighbour scuffed the front right bumper and a falling tree added some dents to the bonnet and passenger side A pillar. Other age related marks are present. Hence the sharp price. I would keep the car but my partner won't drive a manual so it's been replaced by an auto box car and has to go. I've had it serviced locally during the time I've had it and the MOT was done in May this year. The car comes with 2 keys (keyless operation type),2 emergency keys, service book stamped annually till October 2021 at 70250m, original handbook, has rear parking sensors, aux input, cd player, auto headlight control, sport and standard engine modes, auto windscreen wipers, touch to lock doors. There are no warning lights on the dash, everything, except the roof, works exactly as it should. I am confident a replacement boot curtain will sort the roof as it was working fine untill the ends of the retaining rod snapped off. The interior of the car is in good condition as can be seen in the photos. I may consider a swap for a learner friendly small car as I have a 17 year old who is ready to start lessons.
