Two owners from new,cared for car solid car with all the bells and whistles (ex demonstrator)and in working order. The car wouldn't start one day so a transistor was professionally soldered into the fuel pump. Still wouldn't start so I fitted a mechanical injection pump out of a rover 200.The car starts but smokes. The L series diesel engine is a bulletproof engine (fitted to Land rovers) so probably nothing fundamentally wrong, just that I've inherited another car and this one I think just needs a bit more perseverance.
