Car has no MOT and the instrument panel/display is intermittent. Good runner id good condition for year and has only covered around 56-57000 mls. Car failed MOT on rear subframe assembly (see image of MOT cert) and needs a welding repair plus some advisories. Cost for all repairs is estimated at between 300-400 pounds. Car value when done is approx. 1400-1500 pounds so, we've left good value in the car once done! Display is mostly not working but we have an image from 2 years ago showing the then mileage. The car is only driven by my wife to go to work 4 days a week and does 15 mls/day. It has new tyres and is fairly clean. We've maintained the car having any work needed done there and then including a new starter last year but to be fair, it's about the only issue we've had other than a couple of tyres. She runs well and everything works as it should. We're not fixing it because, I have a company car coming and just don't need this anymore so, we're letting the insurance lapse and have SORN the car. Current value if MOT'd would be between 14-1500 quid so, we looked at other cars with similar probs and priced this accordingly and fairly. Any inspection welcome but I'm not gonna listen to stupid offers and or accommodate tyre kickers! It is what it is, a good 21 yr old car with a repair required to bring it back to road legal. A new Bentley it is NOT!!

Spares or repair. • Daihatsu Copen, registered April 2004. • 659cc, 4 cylinder, turbocharged twin cam, 16 valve engine. • 2 owners from new. • 60,500 miles. • Service history. • 2 sets of keys. • V5 and old MOTs. • SORNed since 2019 – no MOT, not taxed. • Stored in a dry barn since 2019. • Spares or repair. The Copen has been off the road and stored in a dry, if dusty barn since 2019. Regularly used until 2019, the car ran fine, the automatic folding roof worked without problem and everything worked as it should. As with many Copens, the rear wheel arches suffer from rust, with rust also appearing near the sills. Additionally, the right-hand rear wing has a dent in it due being reversed into by an inattentive driver (see photos). New rear wheel arches/wings are required. This was why the car was taken off the road and SORNed, pending repairs. Then COVID came along and other matters took priority. Inside, the car is clean and tidy, allowing for being in storage (spiders have been squatting in it). No tears or holes in the seats or carpets. All the instruments and radio worked when the car was taken off the road. The engine bay is as you’d expect on a car stored for 6 years: all there but a little dusty. The car has no battery so the boot cannot be opened, but it was clean and tidy when the Copen was taken off the road. Given its position in a barn tucked in a corner, it is difficult to take good photos of the car. As it has no battery, it cannot currently be started and driven. For serious enquiries, a temporary battery can be connected to the car. The Copen has had a light wash to remove wind-blown dust accumulated during storage. It looks a bit dirty in some photos. The photos show the rust and temporary ‘repairs’ to the rear wheel arches, and also the condition of the interior. It would make a good project for someone to repair and then enjoy: its a great car to drive. Alternatively, it could be a source of spares for other Copens. £600 or open to offers. This vehicle been in the family for over a decade even though it's 20 years age it's still runs absolutely beautiful been taken care of , as expected minor scratches here and there from keys but other than that it's actually in amazing condition for it's age. Inside vehicle is great condition comfortable cushion sets still could do with a clean have reflected this on price. The car has electric windows , AC , radio/USB/CDsystem pretty much everything you need spacious boot which fairly fits a lot of stuff, daughter used this for university traveled from bristol so its solid, but can be for any age or first time driver learner. A few minor scrapes and marks but could probably be detailed out. Minor electric issue, possibly a loose wire, causing the indicator light to speed up on occasion. Battery flat. The engine is in beautiful condition, purrs and runs wonderfully, and the gearbox is still as smooth as silk. Interior is good but has a bit of wear from age. The car currently has one MAJOR ISSUE - the rear brakes are not functioning, i.e., there is no working handbrake. I have the parts required to fix the issue but haven't been able to find the time to do it. Once the rear brakes have been fixed, this car will run and operate wonderfully. Thanks to the low mileage, it'll keep going for years and years to come! I also have some additional spare parts and Haynes manual that will be included.
